BAAB offers independent skills classes for those who are blind or have vision impairments and also records magazines for the National Library Service of the United States Library of Congress for the Blind and Print Disabled (NLS).
The experience of blindness results in different challenges for different people. We assist by helping to learn to navigate life differently on a day-to-day basis in order to continue to live a productive life. Everyone’s challenge is unique, and our mission is to assist each person’s challenge to meet their individual needs.
BAAB offers daily skills classes and records for the National Library Service due to the dedication of volunteers and donors. We are able to work together to make a difference in the lives of the visually impaired here in Brevard County and throughout the State of Florida.
Engaging in activities and learning new skills can lead to positive outcomes for individuals who are blind or visually impaired. These experiences help build confidence and open up opportunities for meaningful careers and volunteer work, fostering independence and community involvement.
BAAB offers ongoing independent skills classes for those who are blind or have vision impairments throughout the year.
BAAB has many volunteer opportunities available from helping in the independent skills classes, reading and monitoring for the National Library Service and open Board Member seats available.
BAAB is able to offer skills classes free of charge due to the generosity of our donors, sponsors and community. Please click on the Donate Now tab to make your donation today or become a sponsor.
BAAB is able to help bridge the gap between your diagnosis and the next steps to getting help. Please refer your friends and family to BAAB by either sharing our phone number, website or email address. Also make sure to visit our Resources
